Policies & Procedure

All our HR Management services prepared and check by CIPD recognise HR Specialist

Do you have an issue with poor, under performing employees or absenteeism in your business?

Have your employees mentioned, complained or taken action concerning their statutory employment rights including discrimination in any form?

More importantly do you have policies and procedures in place to deal with your employees in these situations and comply with legislation and Statutory Codes of Practice?

Having the correct HR policies and procedures in place is essential to reduce your risk of litigation and ensure good employee relations. In fact the main reason why businesses lose Industrial Tribunal cases is that they failed to follow fair procedures.

Policies and procedures that are not properly prepared invariably are used by existing and former employees or even unsuccessful job applicants against an employer to support a claim to an Industrial Tribunal.

We recommend that employers should have, as a minimum, the following policies and procedures in place:

  • Grievance and Disciplinary Policies and Procedures.
  • Dismissal Procedure.
  • Retirement Policy and Procedure.
  • Harassment and Bullying Policy.
  • Fair Employment and Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Family Friendly policy (including time off for maternity, paternity, adoption and dependants and flexible working).

However, depending on the size of the employer and the nature of the business other policies and procedures may be necessary e.g. Recruitment and Selection; Training and Learning/Development; Absence Management; Confidentiality; Use of Internet and Emails; Information and consultation etc..

From experience, many businesses do not have the time or technical and legal knowledge to put these documents together.

We will work with you to help develop HR policies and procedures that comply with legislation and suitably reflect your business needs.

I’ve got peace of mind from the fact I can contact them at any point during the year for advice and guidance. What’s more all that is for fixed annual fee.
